Abstract

This paper aims to illustrate the understanding of teachers in Tangsel and DKI Jakarta about Arabic learning strategies, explaining what strategies are used by teachers and explaining how creative Arab language teachers are in carrying out learning and also how is the teacher's effort to create an environment of Arabic language and culture in the classroom. In general, most Arabic language teachers have understood the concept of Arabic learning strategies, and strategies used more expository strategies, and few teachers have high creativity in teaching and use active student-based strategies. Schools / Madrasah considered bona fide and paporit tend to have higher creativity, and the usual schools / madrasas tend to be creative teachers in their learning still need to be improved in strategy development. And the teacher's effort in creating an environment of Arabic language and culture in the classroom is still weak, the majority of teachers have not used Arabic as the language of instruction in the classroom.
